Georgian MPs discuss Georgia`s integration into NATO

Members of the foreign relations committee and the commission for restoration of Georgia`s territorial integrity of the Georgian parliament assembled at Simpatia Hotel in Tbilisi on Saturday. They discussed the issues of Georgia`s integration into the NATO and the future strategy of the country.

The MPs emphasized the political significance of the Georgia-NATO commission. They talked about the government`s long-term plans, the main priority of which is the foreign policy.

`Creating the Georgia-NATO commission in the framework of the Parliamentary Assembly, is a step forward towards integration into the alliance. This is a good political sign for us, that we are in the alliance`s interests and we aspire to the West and the values that the NATO fosters`, Akaki Minashvili, the chair of the parliamentary committee for foreign relations said.
