Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is visiting Georgia`s breakaway region of Tskhinvali - Russian news agencies have reported about unplanned meeting of the Russian leader to the conflict region.
Irina Gagloeva, the separatist minister of information, says Medvedev arrived in `South Ossetia` under the invitation of the republic`s president, Eduard Kokoity to look into the situation in the region.
Reportedly, Kokoity has already held working meeting with Kokoity, however, the details of the meeting are yet unknown.
Georgian MPs have responded to the visit of the Russian president to the occupied area. Davit Bakradze, the speaker of the parliament says the West will give an adequate response to this scandalous visit. Others say Medvedev is just trying to prove its position to international society after the visit of Obama to Russia.
Parliamentary opposition urges the Foreign Ministry to respond to the illegal visit adequately.
